One of the first decisions you'll make when shipping internationally is how your goods will travel — and it changes everything from cost to timeline to what you're even allowed to send.
Air freight is faster — typically 5–7 business days from airport departure for routes like Nigeria to the UK — and is the better choice for time-sensitive shipments, personal items, and smaller commercial loads. It usually comes with a minimum weight requirement (for example, 10kg on some of our routes) and ships on a fixed weekly schedule.
Sea freight takes longer but is generally more cost-effective for bulk, heavy, or large-volume shipments — think commercial cargo, large personal effects shipments, or business inventory moving in volume.
A key difference most people miss: the restricted items lists for air and sea cargo are not the same, even for the same destination country. An item that's fine for sea cargo might be flagged for air cargo, or vice versa. Always confirm your shipping method before finalizing your packing list.
